CEU COURSE: HUMAN RESOURCE GUIDELINES, LAWS & REGULATIONS

Fundamental guidelines and regulations related to recruitment, compensation, leave benefits, employee relations and job termination are provided. Case studies illustrating managerial solutions to employee problems are presented.

Human resource management (HRM) is an element critical to the successful operation of any department in any industry. Managers, directors, and supervisors should be familiar with the basic elements of HRM. This educational program is intended to provide an overview of the fundamental concepts of HRM in five basic areas: recruitment, compensation, leave benefits, employee relations, and termination. Case studies and subsequent discussions are incorporated into this program as appropriate to illustrate key points. It is not intended to serve as nor constitute legal advice. Managers should always contact their human resources practitioner or legal counsel before making any decision that may adversely affect any employment relationship.
